(London.3rd May.13) Tomorrow night, Saturday 4th May, sees two British promotions present events under the Safe MMA banner:

Cage Warriors 54 sees the promotion usher in its 3rd event under the voluntary medical regulatory body as it graces the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. All British fighters performing on the card are Safe MMA registered, with just two outstanding who will be cleared in their pre-fight medicals. This is due to a delay in their GP returning the results of their medical examinations, but the two fighters’ blood results have been approved as clear. All blood test results submitted by foreign fighters to Safe MMA have also been approved.

Quest Fighting Championships is the 4th promotion to step into the Safe MMA fold for tomorrow night, with its event’s 3 professional fights under the auspices of Safe MMA. The show takes place at the Wood Green Animal Centre in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, with a card that showcases predominantly Amateur talent. The Professional bouts feature 3 British Safe MMA registered fighters against 3 foreign competitors, whose clear blood results have been submitted to Safe MMA. At the time of this release being issued, just one registered fighter’s medical information (submitted today) remained to be cleared by a Safe MMA doctor.

Please see below for Safe MMA fight card details for both events.

As well as 4 member promotions, Safe MMA now has 7 member gyms registered which include; BKK Fighters, Chris Rees Academy, Combat Company, Felling Warriors, The Griphouse, Lion’s Den and Tsunami. Safe MMA registered fighters are now totalling 102. Meanwhile, the network of Safe MMA doctors has extended outside of London to include Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Cornwall. Safe MMA continues its work to build a more extensive network of doctors available to provide fighter medicals.

Cage Warriors’ matchmaker, Ian Dean, said:

“I’m pleased that for the 3rd time in 2 months, all the professional bouts on Cage Warriors have been approved by Safe MMA. The past few weeks have been very challenging but I am very proud of all the Pro fighters and teams on the card as well as the staff at 76 Harley Street who have worked tirelessly to make sure this event complies to the medical safety regulations of Safe MMA.”
