(4/12/2014) In support of Safe MMA, Professor Dan Healy and coach John Kavanagh are pleased to announce an “Injury Prevention in MMA” seminar day for fighters at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, on 24th January. The emphasis of the event is on positive safe training with the aim of teaching about risk in a helpful and factual way.
This event is free and open to all, but if space becomes limited coaches and competitors will be accommodated first. To secure your place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition to the full educational programme listed below, there will be multiple small-group, “hands on” teaching sessions on relevant topics including the heart, mental health, drugs, nutrition, cauliflower ear care and gum shields.
A VIP package will be up for raffle, that includes 2 exclusive tickets, flights and hotel accommodation for a future UFC event. The raffle will be in aid of Amateur fighter safety. Mr Brad Pickett will present the prize on the day.
Places will also be raffled for a free teaching seminar the following day, led by Brad Pickett and an array of Irish UFC fighters.
